I am having trouble coming up with more ideas... I am comparing 7th heaven and Samuel. I have compared the points of how people do not always take control in thier lives and how people need to take the initiative and help others out. I compared Eric in 7th heaven and the woman on the train who told the boys to sit down and only two out of the four sat down.

I don't know much about 7th heaven but doesn't it envolve a preacher? Perhaps you could talk about how unexpected death is a fear that's always looming overhead?

7th Heaven is all about how the kids are raised in a christian home yet they do not always obey their parents. Most of the time that led to a bad consequences. Maybe you can pick an episode and compare the consequences of not listening to adults or not following what is right.
